Volume 2: 06 - Nautilus

We passed safely
through the rocks and shoals
into an expanse of calm water,
sheltered by jutting cliffs
where the sea
glanced like a mirror
and for the first time
we observed
the fairy-like shells
of the paper nautilus

sailing lightly
over the dazzling surface.
